Gold closed the week at £775.213 per troy ounce, up from Mondays opening fix by 0.1% on the week.
The initial gold price movement was down for the first 3 days but gold rallied on Thursday and Friday. Having said that, it operated within a very narrow band of 5-6p over the week. In the greater scheme of things this is relativly stable.
Prices, the fix, are set twice daily by the London Gold Fix Ltd and priced per troy ounce of pure (.999) gold.
